Voxility (basically Cloudflare for networks) has null routed Fatchan because it was an imageboard. The host, Frantech, had no say in this.

It's time we start thinking seriously about what we're going to do about these monolith companies like Cloudflare and Voxility and if we're going to use the powers of Government to nationalize the Internet. This is beyond fucking retarded.

The banks are also subservient to payment networks. Look at your bank card. Does your "Nowhereville Credit Union" card have a Visa and Mastercard stamp? That's who's calling the shots. Mastercard refuses to process anything that makes the ADL's hatewatch list, so the ADL (a Jewish organization) has the power to remove anyone from the market. Visa is typically more permissive, but together they make up 90% of all payments, so if a bank would lose either VC or MC they lose 45% of card holders.

I have the feeling that 9chan and and infinity next maturing are indirectly triggering a massive reaction from registars, service proviers and others against imageboard ype sites.
All the spergs doing their own chans because muh moderation, muh loli, muh children images are accelerating the blacklisting of chan type sites on all levels of the internet infrastructures providers.
The noose is tightening around "us", and more specifically Josh.

>inaccessible to normies

Let me expand on that for maximum efficiency:

  • Block referrers from Twitter, Facebook, Discord, Reddit, Google etc
  • Block web.archive.org and archive.is from archiving your chan (the latter is tricky, but still possible)
  • Block all bots in your Robots file from indexing your pages (only works for those who respect it, like Google)
  • Allow loli and proudly put it in your banners

Websites like Facebook, Twitter or Discord are the stuffs inaccessible for me, shit requires a phone number and bare ip only.
Imageboards are already inaccessibles for normies by default, there is really nothing to do, it should be more easily accessible on the contrary but the only way to advertise your non profit social media today is through bad buzz.

Dear TWNIC,

The 8Chan website and /pol/ community have recently revived under new a domain name at the twTLD https://9chan.tw
Stopping hate websites before their communities grow and are able to cultivate terrorists is very important for our children and all minorities living in our communities.
At this time TWNIC is currently providing services and a domain name for 9chan.tw. We all deplore violence and you are in a unique position to nip it in the bud.

Please do the right thing and remove https://9chan.tw from your tld.

Sincerely,
Esther M. Aronowitz

  1. 9chan is hosted on a server Josh owns in a datacenter Josh has contracts with on a connection Josh pays for on IPs that Josh owns on an ASN that Josh owns.
  2. The idea that a small, obscure country is somehow a better place to host than within the United States is a joke.

Every company folds. Because remember, these are companies. At least within the US you have a few small to mid-sized companies that are libertarian enough to eat shit trying to give a place to companies like 1776hosting which Josh runs.

The smaller, shittier, and less protected a company is, the faster it folds. You won't find safety hosting in Ukraine or Bhutan any more than you'd find it in Wyoming.

If only we could get normies to warm up to the idea of a decentralized wifi node based internet, we wouldn't have nearly as many censorship issues as we do now. The problem is that normies would never do it because it requires a little bit of work and money to set up. Some people in my city tried it about 10 years ago, but it never really took off, and eventually died.

Would it be possible for them to completely block meshnets from interfacing with the regular internet? I was thinking that each node should be connected with the normal internet, as a way to connect to mesh nets in different locales. A bit like tor's node system, but using a combination of wifi meshes and preexisting internet infrastructure. The point of doing that is to get around the limitations of traditional meshnets, which can only extend as far as their user base. Of course, this all depends on them not being able to block nodes from connecting to each each other through the clearnet. I'm not really a pro at this stuff, so I have no idea if it could work. I'm really just brainstorming here.

crypto will always be niche as long as it's not government-backed, because people want the protections that come with using government-issue currency. If somebody hacks your bank account and steals your money, you're generally covered by the bank. If you lose your life savings because somebody hacked your computer and found your crypto, then you're fucked and there's nothing you can do about it.

Crypto will always be a niche, but a very important niche for bypassing censorship. It brings the benefits of cash to the online world. Unlike with credit, you can't be physically stopped from donating cash to somebody you like, and likewise with crypto nobody can physically stop you from sending it to somebody. But if you lose the cash you're shit out of luck, which is why most people don't keep fat stacks of cash in their bedrooms

The platform should be free speech and each board owner can add additional rules for their board. It is stupid for a topic board to have free speech, for example if someone starts a porn thread here they should be banned because this is the technology board. However, they should not be banned if they post something about technology that the BO doesn't like.
